Yard - The self-titled EPs YARD & YARD II

Ah man, what a dream it’s been to work with these guys! We’ve been blasted by their electrifying electro-punk on many occasions in a live setting (as have many of you, we know). Their intense and immersive live shows bridge the gap between electronica and post-punk, creating an auditory onslaught that leaves us sweaty, energised, and strangely unnerved. HELL YEAH!! They’ve also shared stages with other Dinked alumni such as A Place To Bury Strangers, The Psychotic Monks and Mandy, Indiana.

When they told us there were no plans in the works to release their awesome, self-titled EP on vinyl, we knew it was time for Dinked to get to work! At the time, the Dublin three-piece were busy working on the follow-up, so they told us if we could hang on, they could combine the 2 releases into 1 meaty double for us. Such bloody generous humans!!

They then got the incredibly talented Claire Schorman to work up a striking artwork package that perfectly represents their aesthetic and TA DA – here’s your Early Doors Edition No.5. You’re welcome!

A recent live review captured the YARD experience perfectly: “In their presence, you see and feel them painstakingly crafting every note and sound with their bare hands, wrestling with different sockets, switches, strings, or even their voices. The venue was transformed into this factory of raw, unadulterated noise which kept us all at the mercy of the sound - collectively banging our heads in synchronicity.”
