Live 80/81 is structured around This Heat’s set list used on tour in the Netherlands, December 1980 and demonstrates the extent to which the band were willing to continue manipulating and stretching their compositions.

Compiled from recordings made to cassette using a stereo mic placed near the soundboard from gigs in Tilberg, Nijmegen, Arhus, Apeldoorn, Vienna and Rhiems between April 1980 and June 1981.
