Thin Lizzy is the debut studio album released by Irish rock band Thin Lizzy on 30th April 1971. The album was followed by the New Day EP, produced and recorded by Nick Tauber at Decca Studios and released in August of the same year. It was the band’s first album with the original lineup of Phil Lynott (bass and vocals), Eric Bell (guitar), and Brian Downey (drums).
This LP captured Thin Lizzy putting everything they had into the music and taking risks. It’s passionate, high-energy, and distinctive.

These deluxe CD and LP releases celebrating the 55th anniversary of Thin Lizzy’s debut studio album feature rarities, BBC sessions, and previously unreleased music.
The 4LP deluxe set features 15 unreleased tracks, including the previously unreleased studio track “Beggar’s Song.” The tracklist also includes the rare New Day EP alongside other rarities and BBC sessions, with LPs 2, 3, and 4 appearing on vinyl for the first time.

These deluxe CD and LP releases celebrating the 55th anniversary of Thin Lizzy’s debut studio album feature rarities, BBC sessions, and previously unreleased music.
The 3CD / Blu-Ray edition features 15 unreleased tracks, including the previously unreleased studio track “Beggar’s Song.” The tracklist also includes the rare New Day EP alongside other rarities and BBC sessions. The 3CD format also contains a brand-new stereo mix from Richard Whittaker and includes a Blu-Ray featuring the first-ever Dolby Atmos mix.
The deluxe set is housed in a rigid 10x10 box and includes a 40-page hardcover book with extensive liner notes by Mojo’s Mark Blake and memorabilia.
