Supersister was one of the most original groups to emerge in the Netherlands in the late 1960s.

Inspired by Soft Machine and Caravan, the group recorded a series of fine albums in the 1970s such as the acclaimed ‘Present From Nancy’, ‘To The Highest Bidder’, ‘Pudding En Gisteren’ and ‘Iskander’ and enjoyed a Dutch hit single with ‘She Was Naked’. Championed by John Peel, the band signed to Peel’s Dandelion label in the UK and remained a favourite of his. The original line-up of Robert Jan Stips (keyboards, vocals), Sacha Van Geest (flutes, vocals), Ron Van Eck (bass) and Marco Vrolijk (drums) disbanded in 1974, but their influence grew. In 2000 they were invited to reform and to perform at the ProgFest Festival in Los Angeles.

Widely praised, this led to a unique reunion concert at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in December of that year which was filmed and recorded.
