'Scorchio' was the result of Sasha and Darren Emerson (of Underworld fame) meeting halfway around the world in Uruguay after playing a show and can be considered the spiritual successor to Sasha’s acclaimed 1999 double pack Xpander. The main riff was performed on the coveted Roland Jupiter-8 and the title track has been described as outrageously sunny while maintaining a dark, progressive edge.
Sasha himself noted that the tune came about “effortlessly”, but in any case this is peak turn-of-the-century progressive trance and was part of the soundtrack of many a hazy day and night at the beaches of Ibiza.
The B-side contains a dub by Emerson perfect for any crowd that you may face; truly a Swiss army knife.
