There’s an intimacy and distance in her work, as if glimpsed at through a windowpane. On 'Not In My Car', her guitar shimmers with delay, ticking like a clock, while her voice moves through the room’s quiet shadow. Images are painted of blue and yellow outlines of day, arguments in taxis, flowers bending their heads in the rain.
