Moving away from the spoken word / hellish soundscape approach for more traditional verse / chorus song structures, this is Reigns as a band.

Vocally more direct, less disguised. With Rob Ellis (Marianne Faithful / PJ Harvey / Swell) on drums, someone who the duo have worked with on various occasions over the last 30 years either in Spleen, Christmas or PJ Harvey - and Joe Thompson (Hey Colossus) on bass (the Reigns duo are also in HC). The South West of England being a mysterious hotbed of village dwellers prone to creation.

The brothers Farthing, Tim and Roo, have also moved away from using the Operative A and B anonymity, this time using their real life names. The album was worked on as a four piece, recorded at Axe+Trap in Wells, Somerset, then taken apart and put back together. A year of fine tuning. A year to break the music apart. But this is still Reigns. Creeping. Oozing. It's still Reigns. They can say "traditional verse / chorus" but to anyone listening this music still drags you in to their world. The duo are musical auteurs. This is their sound and no tweaking or line up additions seems to alter the haunted feel.

Reigns tell stories. They always have. From the beginning when the microphone was lowered a mile into the ground to Dead Centre via the House On The Causeway the duo are story tellers. Horror folk tales that are as real as you want them to be. All stories are born from some truth.

The Antigeist represents the time we live in, a time where their fictitious tales of terror have become real-life modern-day horrors.
