Quinn, Kevin, Quinn - Child and God

Detroit, 1990. Here is the perfect godly family. Watch them come undone. The son sits in church in the sweltering heat, looking to belong. The daughter burns with desire and dreams of escape. She is heedless in love while he is cautious and afraid. As secrets pile up and temptations abound, brother and sister drift further apart and into a tailspin of self-discovery bound up in a deep sense of duty and guilt. With elegance and grace, Quinn shows how misplaced love and devotion can devastate a family, then bring them back together in wholly new ways. Child and God sings with deep sincerity and grace, perfect for fans of Douglas Stuart, Stephanie Sy-Quia and James Baldwin, introducing Kevin Quinn as a major new literary voice.
