A year before his tragic death, Elvis Presley recorded a few songs in the recording studio set up in his famous Graceland mansion. In the end, ten songs made it on this record which would turn out to be the second to last studio recording he would make before tragically passing away way too early in 1977.

It became Presley's fourth album to reach #1 on the Billboard country music album sales chart in four years and includes “Hurt”, a top 10 hit on both the country and adult contemporary charts
