When we heard that Dinked alumni (and familiar faces around these parts) John Newton of JOHN and Stuart Hopkins of TRAAMS were joining forces with our very own Ian Humes (of the shop counter, Yetti, and many other outfits over the years), we knew we were going to be in for something proper good. And proper good is exactly what they’ve delivered us! 

Honestly, we’ve had this on digital repeat since they sent it to us, so we had to make sure it got committed to wax in the form of a tasty Early Doors Edition for you smart early adopters.

Post Common’s primary release acts as a blueprint for the project. This initial collection offers a sense of the diverse interests and references discussed during the band’s formation. Whilst there are unavoidable nods to the past work of Post Common’s members, the release ushers in a fresh collaborative approach, perhaps best illustrated through their use of dual vocals - oscillating between plosive power and haunting melody simultaneously.

And if you get a chance to see them on stage, be sure to do so. They are uncommonly special.
