118 remastered tracks with 36 previously unreleased, including a full live performance from 1967. Covering all the material made under the PBC name, ‘The Most Up Till Now’ was assembled by aficionados, Alec Palao and Gray Newell, in collaboration with Alan Brackett, who granted unprecedented access to his personal vault. As well as the full complement of the band’s official releases for Columbia, Challenge and Vault, the set also features many of the soundtrack recordings that their three singers participated in at the behest of producer Stu Phillips. These tracks are supplemented by an exciting array of demos, outtakes, alternative versions, home recordings and a previously unheard live performance from 1967 that demonstrates that the PBC could effectively deliver their distinctive vocal/instrumental blend in person as well as the studio.
