NOAHFINNCE - WONKY

NOAHFINNCE named this album WONKY because it encapsulates how he feels about life in the mid-2020s. "In a way, it's about self-acceptance, because I am a little bit different and a little bit wonky, so I am going to feel emotional about what's going on," says the alt-rock singer-songwriter. "And the world's in a real wonky place, too, not just politically, but also in the way that algorithms and AI seem to be taking over." 

In response to the rise in digitally homogenised content, Noah has taken a defiantly "handmade" approach to creating artwork and video props for the WONKY era. He's been busy sewing, scanning and printing various items in a reassuringly old-school way.

Now, with WONKY, an album that tells a timely and emotionally resonant story complete with spoken word interludes by YouTube icon TomSka, Noah's made his most cohesive body of work yet. "I'm not a really goal-oriented person. I don't think much beyond making the best album I can or playing the best shows I can," he says. "But I guess what I'm always striving for is a feeling of catharsis. I want people who listen to my songs to feel like they're not crazy for feeling the way I do. I want them to hear me and feel less alone.”
