A classic of the "French Touch" movement released in 1996, Pansoul is the only album by the group, Motorbass - formed four years earlier by Philippe Zdar (one half of Cassius) and Étienne de Crécy.
Born out of the early rave scene, the record blends house music with instrumental hip-hop and quickly garnered critical acclaim. A pillar of French electronic music, Pansoul by Motorbass is a must-have - both for long-time fans of the French Touch and for a new generation currently rediscovering this scene and its vinyl culture.
