Originally released in 2005, this is an essential release from seminal songwriter, Maria McKee. A lost gem from the re-awakened singer/songwriter that falls between her Americana incarnation as Lone Justice and her near-operatic five-star stunner, ‘La Vita Nuova’.
‘Peddlin’ Dreams’ contains ‘Seasons Of The Fair’ and ‘Sullen Soul’ plus covers of Neil Young’s ‘Barstool Blues’ and the soulful lounge standard ‘(You Don’t Know) How Glad I Am’.
“Moving, utterly beautiful and carefully, artfully wrought. It is the work of a masterful songwriter whose senses of time, place and character are impeccable.” AllMusic
A beautiful and eclectic set of tunes falling between her Americana roots with Lone Justice and her near-operatic five-star stunner ‘La Vita Nuova’ (“Bracing, thrilling”---- Pitchfork).
