Originally released in 1993 on Big Beat/Atlantic, MC Thick’s The Show Ain’t Over Till The Fat Man Swings followed his 1991 underground single, “Marrero (What the Fellas Be Yellin)”, and marked a defining moment for the Marrero, Louisiana rapper. While early ’90s New Orleans was dominated by bounce, MC Thick stood apart with gritty, street-level storytelling and a raw, unapologetic voice.

Featuring “T.H.I.C.K.” and production work involving T-Ray (Todd Ray), known for his work with Cypress Hill, the album remains an important piece of Southern rap history.
