'Grab Bag' is a musing on an idiot politician taking solace in a packet of crisps, beamed in from 1967 UFO Club London; 'Weather Photos' zooms in tightly on problems caused by 1 centimetre of snow and features Bob Collins (The Dentists, Swansea Sound) on 12-string electric guitar; 'Competitive Domestic' one-upmanships on stories told over lunch to Good Morning Good Morning era Beatles; 'Night Sweats' is an indie- pop-bop with a very naked anxiety dream.
Having honed their eccentric live reputation with a series of absurdist happenings, this album was recorded in the stoically analogue Ranscombe Studios in Kent and co-produced with Jim Riley.
