Subtext heralds a new chapter for Lemondaze, whose immersive blend of post-rock, shoegaze, and grungy emotional weight has quietly built them a cult following across the UK underground.
Produced and mixed by Matt Glasbey (Sorry, Alt-J, David Gilmour), the EP was recorded between sessions in London and Brighton in 2024 and represents a revitalised incarnation of Lemondaze - marking their first body of work since their thrilling yet raw 2021 debut EP 'Celestial Bodies'.
In the intervening years, the Cambridge-based four-piece quietly shaped their identity through constant gigging, sonic experimentation, and a deep connection to their values. The music blends ferocity with fluidity, solitude with true noise. Their signing to Venn Records marks a clear statement of intent, joining a label known for launching some of the UK’s most cutting-edge punk, hardcore, and alt-rock artists, including High Vis, Meryl Streek, and Bob Vylan.
