Klein - My Own Fairytale

British-Nigerian multidisciplinary artist and composer, Klein is back with her project, My Own Fairytale.

The 12-track collection is the experimental artist’s deconstructed take on a dark Disney-esque soundtrack channelled through ambient, noise, grime and R&B.

The work explicates Klein’s double life; to this day her family does not know about her long-standing musical career. Klein’s voice breaks through in the latter half of the album, voicing the want to connect with family and herself.

The album features prelude single ‘man in the mirror’, a nocturnal dirge dissecting how Klein understands herself, gender, and fitting into society.

My Own Fairytale is another cog in a high-volume artist’s career, perhaps Klein’s most introspective to date.
