Comprehensive collection of 80s pop band, Kajagoogoo.

Best known for their 1983 hit single 'Too Shy', which reached No. 1 on the UK singles chart, and the top 10 around the world

The band have been actively involved in the set, contributing ideas and speaking to John Earls (Classic Pop) for the extensive sleeve notes.

Newly mastered by Tony Dixon.

Kajagoogoo signed to EMI Records in July 1982 with Nick Rhodes co-producing the band's first single, 'Too Shy' with Duran Duran's EMI producer Colin Thurston. The single was released on 10 January 1983 and topped the UK Singles Chart. Follow-up singles 'Ooh To Be Ah' and 'Hang On Now' also both reached the UK Top 20, and the group's debut album 'White Feathers' reached No. 5 in the UK Albums Chart.

As success came, tensions began to rise in the band, culminating in Limahl leaving and Nick Beggs taking over as lead singer. The first single by the new four-piece lineup, 'Big Apple', was released in September 1983 and reached the UK Top Ten. They followed this up with singles 'The Lion's Mouth', 'Turn Your Back On Me'. And the subsequent new album, 'Islands'.

In the US, the band first adopted the Kaja moniker at this time, and a different edition of the 'Islands' album was released as 'Extra Play'. This box set compiles for the first time the bands three albums as well as their post-Warners albums and a large number of mixes, B-Sides and instrumentals.
