From 1975’s ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’(a UK No.14 hit) right through until late 83s ‘Somethin’s Goin’ On’, this 29 track release has all of Ian’s 45’s including many versions that were specially edited from LP length.
The sadly missed Mick Ronson plays on a good few of the tracks and other contributions come from the likes of Queen, members of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band including Clarence Clemons, John Cale of Velvet Underground and The Clash’s Mick Jones.
The song, ‘Ships’, later gave (of all people) Barry Manilow a USA Top 10 hit whilst ‘Once Bitten Twice Shy’ was taken into the American Top 5 by Great White.
