Gamksimoon - Gyiin Na̱xnox

Loud and unrelenting, G̱a̱mksimoon’s first full-length LP, “Gyiin Naxnox” (Feeding the Supernatural), showcases the trailblazing ability of Gitga’at songwriter, Wil Uks Batsga G̱a̱laaw (Jeremy Pahl) to fuse pre-colonial musical stylings to hard-hitting fuzz rock.

Ts’msyen (Indigenous to the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America) worldview and culture meets epic 3-piece rock and roll with echoes of early punk rock and doom metal bands of the 70’s and 80’s in a powerful and authentic statement against colonialism.

Gyiin Naxnox contains multi-part epics spanning traditional melodies and rhythms, clips of field recordings from Sm’algya̱x-speaking Elders of the Ts’msyen community, Sabbath-style sludge and doom, and virtuosic street-level punk and roll.
