flypaper - Forget the Rush

Forget the Rush is the long-awaited debut full-length from flypaper, the solo project of London-based singer-songwriter, Rory Sear.

After coming up as the frontman of Brighton indie rockers, Beachtape, flypaper emerged when Sear relocated to London and began self-recording at home, drawing inspiration from songwriting greats such as Randy Newman and Elliott Smith.

Following the release of two acclaimed self-recorded EPs, big nada and another orbit, Forget the Rush finds flypaper delivering on the promise of those early recordings with a more fleshed-out sound that retains the intimacy of his earlier work while allowing his songwriting chops and melodies to come to the forefront.
