Dust - Sky Is Falling

The debut album from Australia-based punk act, dust. Blending jagged instrumentation and melancholic soundscapes into a visceral, genre-defiant identity, they've developed a sound that is both cathartic and confrontational. In 2024, dust began reforming their sound, embracing free-jazz inflections and reverb- heavy guitar work through singles, nodding toward shoegaze and experimentalism. dust’s evolution continues on debut, Sky Is Falling.

Their sound, grounded in genre defiance and reinvention – shoegaze and electronic experimentalism side-by-side with elusive saxophone arrangements and abrasive guitar lines – is firmly rooted in melancholia and self-inquiry.
