Byrds, The - Turn Turn Turn (60th Anniversary Edition)

The Byrds sophomore record, "Turn! Turn! Turn!", came just half year after their commercial success of the album and single, "Mr. Tambourine Man".

 The album contains fewer Dylan covers, which gives more room for David Crosby, Gene Clark and Jim McGuinn to show their own writing skills. The album is a real early jangle pop essential, where you can hear the bands influence on bands like R.E.M., Teenage Fanclub, and Crowded House.

The sound of the 12-string Rickenbacker guitar, the rich vocal harmonies, and personal lyrics give the album a timeless feel.
