Expanding his seductive ‘SABLE’ EP into the fully fledged ‘fABLE’, our man from Eau Claire brought in a slew of pals (including Haim’s Danielle, Dijon, Mk.gee, Jacob Collier, Kacy Hill, and Flock of Dimes) to assist. And, in doing so, added a newfound soulful weight to his ever expanding toolbox.

There’s a broad streak of optimism colouring the stunningly bright instrumentals. It’s as if Vernon is courageously stepping out into the light, initially blinking against the glare but then putting his best footforward and ploughing on out into the waiting world.
