Barrientos, Maximiliano - Thousands of Eyes

In this wild, incantatory novel, bodies fuse with machines, trees sprout spark plugs like fruit, and a murderous cult that worships speed plots sinister rituals. In Santa Cruz, Bolivia, a teenage boy is haunted by the voices of car crash victims, including his older brother. As he seeks answers about his brother's death, he notices disturbing changes in his body - and fears he may unwittingly be at the centre of the sect's plans. Blending pulp, sci-fi and body horror into its own twisted form, Thousands of Eyes accelerates towards a vision of an apocalyptic future.
