Barjed, Martin - Desperation

The multi-instrumentalist, Martin (incidentally Mattias Bärjed’s brother), crafts magical pop.

‘Dance-band music for astronauts,’ we once told him—and it was the best description he’d ever heard. Maybe not dansband exactly, though; more Brian Wilson–ian, or perhaps a slightly psychedelic Sven-Ingvars as a fitting reference… mixed with something like World Party’s Goodbye Jumbo, you know what we mean? And his voice and the way he sings—wonderful… in Värmland dialect, no less.
