Atheist - Unquestionable Presence

ATHEIST's second opus, "Unquestionable Presence", is a landmark in progressive metal music, fusing the insane aggression and speed of death and thrash metal with atmospheric and complex rhythmic patterns, incredible time changes and a jazz element revolutionary in extreme music back in 1991.

Overshadowed by the way too early passing of bassist, Roger Patterson, at the age of 22, Cynic bassist, Tony Choy, helped out to complete this masterpiece which was inducted into Decibel's "Hall Of Fame" in 2005, with Kevin Stewart-Panko stating: "Consisting of mathematical song writing, heady lyrical concepts and a rhythm section bordering on the inhuman, "Unquestionable Presence" set a technical metal benchmark and remains one of the most underrated albums in extreme music history".
