Anglade, Laura - Something's Coming

Anglade is entering what she describes as "a new era of my artistry," one shaped by the feeling of being "on the brink of something I can't quite name yet." "I find myself taking more risks," she says. "I am more experimental and can stretch more, testing the limits." That shift is palpable on this album.

Musical theater sits at the heart of the project. "I grew up with it," Anglade says. "I was a theater kid. I never got the lead role. This feels like getting to step into those roles now."

Rather than approaching these songs as fixed standards, she inhabits them as characters, scenes, and emotional landscapes.
