Anarchy! McLaren Westwood Gang - Various Artists

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of Punk, the acclaimed but rarely seen ANARCHY! McLaren Westwood Gang film is re-released as a snazzy boxset.

The film’s director, Phil Strongman, was at the heart of the punk movement in 1976 and ‘77, working at Acme Attractions and then BOY while designing and selling t-shirts in the Kings Road.

It is, essentially, three films in one: it’s a history of European Anarchism; a biog of McLaren and a compelling exposé of the real birth of the Sex Pistols. ANARCHY! McLaren Westwood Gang is an authentic and remarkable document of that febrile moment in time that left such a long shadow over modern culture.
