Ain't - How They Faked The Moon Landing

This South London five-piece have built quite a reputation on the live scene and their immaculate run of singles has seen the band deliver on all the promise of their early, word-of-mouth performances. These singles now form this EP, which we’re proudly serving to you here as a one-stop introductory release as part of our increasingly collectible ‘Early Doors’ series.

Recorded across sessions with producers, Ali Chant (Dry Cleaning, Yard Act, Sorry, Dog Race, ladylike), Theo Verney (English Teacher, Lime Garden, Egyptian Blue) and Oli Barton-Wood (Porridge Radio, The Big Moon, Lambrini Girls), the EP captures Ain’t testing the waters in the studio while refining the sound that’s been fuelling their rise and the buzz surrounding them to date. Across its six tracks, the band explore idiosyncratic guitar music and 90s slacker indie, with hints of shoegaze, Midwest emo and lo-fi dream pop.

How They Faked The Moon Landing rounds off an incendiary start for Ain’t; “start” being the operative word. With more music planned for 2026, this is an excellent primer for what’s yet to come. Can’t wait to see what they bring us next!
