The booklet features a specially written introduction by Hazell in which she states, “My time with Decca was magical, and I know that this will be a much loved addition to the collection of my fans all over the world.” Years before she became ‘The Queen Of Hi-NRG’ with her breakout hit single ‘Searchin’ in 1984, Hazell was recording a series of lush, orchestrated ballads; a deft succession of beautiful songs with sweeping strings and emotive lyrics for Decca Records, largely with the help of songwriter and producer Paul Curtis. Amid this hitherto lesser known repertoire is a studio recording of the glorious ballad, ‘I Couldn’t Live Without You For Day’, a Paul Curtis song, which Hazell sang with a live orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall in 1976 for BBC TV’s ’A Song For Europe’ - Hazell’s first ever television appearance.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Sfe","offers":[{"title":"CD","offer_id":50318142046486,"sku":"RMX-50848","price":14.99,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0839\/7750\/2998\/files\/612e08bac5da1773e9efbaf4b4f12af4.png?v=1753801104","url":"https:\/\/resident-music-uk.myshopify.com\/products\/dean-hazell-the-decca-years","provider":"Resident Music UK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
